Tips for Safe Spring Driving [INFOGRAPHIC]

If you’re like many people, chances are you are excited for the end of winter and the arrival of warmer springtime temperatures. Spring driving brings its own set of hazards, such as rain and wet pavement. 46% of weather-related crashes between 2002 and 2012 were related to rain, so be sure to give yourself extra time and increase your stopping distance when the roads are wet. Hailstorms can occur with little warning in spring, and can damage the body and glass of your Ford. Take cover until the storm passes to prevent this damage. Many animals are also more active in the spring, particularly in the morning and evening. Use caution when you are driving near wooded areas, and pay attention to signs about animal crossings.
